Cream lacquer, gilt filigree, and two pearl buttons worn smooth. The screen holds a tower of flowered landings, and no stairs at all — a fairy makes her own. Press up on open floor and a ladder of light grows to the landing above. Catch a creature on the wand and slam it into the wall, and anything standing in its way goes with it. Twelve floors up through three towers, the witch of the spire on the last, and a Fairy Ladder stamp waiting at the top.

Left and right to walk, up to conjure a ladder and then to climb it, down to come back, space for the wand. On a touch screen, drag sideways to walk, drag up or down to climb, tap to swing the wand.
The first swing catches; the second throws. A creature bursts on its second hard landing, and anything it hits on the way bursts with it. A ladder only grows where there is landing above you to reach.
