Tray of Assorted Cogs
A shallow oak tray of polished brass gears in eleven sizes, for building whatever you have in mind.
The Forge Quarter · Shop
If it turns, ticks, or winds, it is somewhere in these drawers.

A narrow shop with a wall of oak drawers running floor to ceiling, every one labelled in a hand nobody can read any more. Under glass bells on the counter, half-finished mechanisms turn quietly by themselves. The shopkeeper will not sell you a gear until she knows what you intend to do with it.

Everything needed to build a working movement: mainplate, springs, gears, and four tiny tools in a fitted box.

Instrument
A real gauge on an oak plinth. It reads a little high on stormy mornings, which the shop insists is correct.

Optics
Turn the copper ring and the whole pattern shifts by clockwork rather than by luck.

One perfect small sprocket on a brass chain, filed smooth and polished by hand.
