★ Rooms above the promenade · The house band on the balcony · A silver sea beyond the balloon field ★
The tallest building on The Windward Promenade, a navy-and-gold Edwardian resort with three crystal chandeliers hung down the length of the lobby, a sweeping marble staircase, and pigeonhole key cubbies behind a mahogany reception desk. French doors at the far end throw open onto a stone balcony over the promenade, the balloon field, and the moonlit sea. Every morning the house band plays on the balcony below.
Ring the brass bell and choose your cabin for the night.
