Root Beer Rush
Cream enamel, cherry lacquer and a nickel tap handle worn smooth by a hundred summers. You are the soda jerk behind four marble counters, and the whole of Lantern Row has come in thirsty. Pull the tap and send a frothy root beer sliding down the marble — it stops a customer where he stands and walks him back toward the door. But the empty mug comes rattling home, and if you are not standing at that counter to catch it, it goes off the end in pieces. Sweep the coins they leave behind while you are at it. Five rounds, ending with the midnight rush, and a Root Beer Rush stamp for the jerk who never breaks a mug.
Up and down to change counters, space to pour a mug, and the right arrow to sweep the tips left on your current counter. On a touch screen, tap the counter you want — the tap pours as you land on it.
A mug that reaches the door end untouched is a mug on the floor. If a customer makes it all the way to the tap he shoves the whole counter back to the door and costs you a mug. Coins go stale — sweep them before they blink out.
