Every device on this bench is a conversation waiting to be overheard. The spark-gap transmitter can still hear faint signals from 1904; the horn speaker once announced the arrival of the Jolly Roger from halfway across the lagoon. Operators are asked not to tap out messages after midnight, as the past tends to answer back.
