The North Pole · Dine-In Theatre

Hollywood North Cartoon Club

Every table is built inside something. The reel never stops.

A dim dine-in cartoon theatre at Christmas, with dining booths built inside a sleigh, a barrel, a rocket, a circus wagon, a submarine, a dinosaur egg and a train carriage, all facing a glowing screen.

Lights down, garlands up, and the screen at the far end already flickering. Nobody sits at an ordinary table here — you're shown to a sleigh, or a barrel, or the front half of a submarine, and the popcorn arrives before you've worked out where to put your knees.

Tonight's Programme

The Christmas Reel

Seven classic Christmas cartoons from the 1930s and 40s — Fleischer colour, Rudolph's first outing, and a very put-upon dog called Hector — played back to back and looped all evening.
