The Singing Caverns

Aeth — the living glow.

A photorealistic immense underground root-cavern lit only by blue and gold bioluminescent fungi, colossal tree roots descending like columns, and a still glowing pool reflecting the roof.

Beneath the jungle the roots go down into hollow stone, and the caverns they have made are the size of cathedrals. There is no daylight here at all — the light is alive. Glow-pool fungi light whole chambers in blue and gold, underground rivers run bright with aurora eels, and the rootwraiths drift through the dark, curious about anyone who comes. It is not frightening down here. It is quiet, the way a cathedral is quiet.
