The story

  1. Three days of rain. Peter takes shelter in Jimmy's log.
  2. Peter talks. And talks. Jimmy listens.
  3. The rain stops. Peter stays.
  4. Jimmy, still gentle, finally says exactly what he thinks.
  5. Peter is hurt, then honest, then apologises.
  6. They part friends, and Peter brings clover the next morning.

What We Learned

Saying the true thing kindly is better than saying nothing until you burst.
