The Docks

The sun is high over the harbour. Cobblestones warm beneath your feet, gulls wheel above the masts, and the tall ships at anchor creak in the gentle tide. The Chandlery and the Clipper Hotel face each other across the quay, while the Tide-Breaker flume sends a silver spray over the distant boardwalk. Lanterns hang ready for evening, but the afternoon is all salt air and bright paint.
