The story
- Happy Jack finds his store half empty and accuses Sammy Jay at once.
- Sammy, insulted, refuses to speak to him.
- The forest takes sides. It gets loud.
- Happy Jack finally watches all night — and sees himself, in daylight memory, moving the nuts weeks ago.
- He has to walk up the pine and apologise in front of everyone.
- Sammy accepts, with a great deal of squawking about it.
