The story
- Black clouds pile over the Green Forest at dusk.
- The oak sways; the nest holds; Happy Jack is terrified.
- He hears Peter caught out in the open below.
- Down he goes into the wind to bring Peter to the hollow at the oak's root.
- They wait out the storm together, shaking.
- Morning: leaves everywhere, sun, and one very proud squirrel.
