The story
- A thin stream of water finds its way through the dam.
- Paddy works alone all night and cannot keep up.
- By morning the pond is dropping and everyone's home is at risk.
- Peter, Happy Jack, Jimmy and Buster arrive with sticks, stones and mud.
- The whole forest patches the dam together by lantern-light.
- Water rises again. Nobody goes home hungry.
